Intention of this project is to simulate what an object emerging from a body of water would look like. The ship is animated to go upwards and interact with the water, creating splash and foam in the process. The effect is achieved by creating a fluid simulation for both water and foam which consists of milions of particles at first which are colliding with a 3D model of a spaceship. After the simulation is that the particles that are the closest to each other are connected to create polygons (objects in 3D space) at each frame which results in a water surface effect.Proper lighting is used in cooperation with materials to create depth in the water surface and make it more realistic. While a better result is possible it is very time consuming to create a simulation like with a rendering time for one frame being up to 10 minutes with a total amount of frames being 400.
